Job Description

What you will have to do:
 

Operational Supervision

  • Oversee daily F&B operations, including opening and closing procedures, and ensure that daily activities align with Meliá's established SOPs and high standards.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, service, and cleanliness, consistently aligning with hotel and brand guidelines.
  • Support inventory management by tracking stock levels, ordering supplies, and ensuring operational needs are met.
     

Guest Engagement

  • Actively engage with guests to ensure satisfaction, addressing any concerns or special requests promptly to achieve maximum guest satisfaction.
  • Cultivate positive guest relations by maintaining a thorough knowledge of all food and beverage offerings, including seasonal items and special promotions.
  • Team leadership and development
  • Lead, supervise, and inspire a team of F&B associates, promoting a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
  • Train, motivate, and mentor team members to maintain high morale and professionalism to foster growth and performance improvement.
     

Menu development and event planning

  • Collaborate on menu creation to reflect current culinary trends while meeting budgetary targets, enhancing the guest dining experience.
  • Assist with planning and executing promotional activities, seasonal events, and private functions in partnership with the Sales & Marketing Manager, Groups Coordinator, and Kitchen Chef to ensure exceptional event execution.
     

Operational collaboration and reporting

  • Participate actively in weekly operational meetings, providing insights on F&B performance and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with F&B management to ensure alignment on menu planning, event strategies, and service enhancements that drive guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
     

What are we looking for?

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within the F&B or hospitality sector
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and guest service skills, with a passion for creating memorable dining experiences
  • Proficiency in Greek and English; additional languages are an asset.
  • Familiarity with POS systems, inventory management, and F&B software.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
