What will be your mission?

 

As Demi Chef, you will be responsible for the preliminary preparation, the cooking process, plating or presentation of high quality dishes to deliver an excellent guest experience.  

What will you do?

  • Ensures the preparation of the work space for the execution of the service;
  • Checks the quality of food;
  • Identifies, selects and prepares the ingredients necessary to prepare each dish;
  • Prepares ingredients and food (washing, cutting, portions, etc.);
  • Prepares and assembles buffets (hot and cold);
  • Replenishes stocks;
  • Maintain a clean, neat and well-organized work area. 
  • Report maintenance, hygiene and hazard issues. 
  • Awareness of departmental targets and strive to achieve them as part of the team. 
  • Follow all relevant health department rules/regulations and all customer service guidelines (HACCP). 

What are we looking for?

 

  • Professional experience in similar roles. 4 or 5 star hotels or top category restaurants/bars (preferred).
  • Vocational training on hospitality/F&B/kitchen .
  • Fluency in local language is a must and knowledge of English is highly valuable.
  • Ability to work on his/her own and as part of a team.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure. 
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Focus on detail.
