Job Summary: Supports the Sous Chef and Head Chef in ensuring that food service is delivered successfully and in accordance with the quality standards defined by the hotel. Responsible for assisting with the preparation, presentation, and consistency of dishes produced in the assigned kitchen section. Contributes to maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and the efficient organisation of the work area, while developing leadership skills and supporting junior team members.

 

What will you have to do? 

  • Supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the daily kitchen operations, maintaining consistency in food quality, hygiene and presentation. 
  • Assisting in the preparation and execution of dishes across various services: breakfast, à la carte, banquets, and room service.
  • Helping to ensure compliance with food safety regulations (HACCP) and company sustainability practices.
  • Participating in menu planning, stock checks, and daily briefings.
  • Collaborating with the team to ensure smooth coordination between kitchen and service staff.
  • Taking part in the organisation of mise en place and learning how to manage orders and inventory under the guidance of senior chefs.
  • Actively contributing to a clean, safe, and efficient working environment. 

What are we looking for?

  • Culinary school diploma or equivalent training in Gastronomy or Hospitality. 
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in 4* or 5* hotels.
  • Knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety practices.
  • Passion for cooking, willingness to learn, and a proactive mindset. 
  • Team player with good communication and organisational skills.
  • Fluency in the local language and good level of English.
